So, we are the proud parents of a yard filled with black walnut trees. Despite all we’ve read about how hard it is to crack these suckers, we’re naive and we’ve been gathering them up. It’s funny to hear the sounds of plunking metal on our little pavilion roof when they fall. And even though it sounds like we live at a golfing range we’re pleased to harvest what these sharing trees have. Any tips on cracking them?
