An unexpected road trip brought me up to Northern IL and back home again in a flash. A warm wind came with me and melted a lot of the snow friends and family up there are sick of. The breeze helped me dust off a couple of years of little communication with a lifelong childhood friend. I went to dinner with my parents ALONE for maybe the third time in my entire life. My mother tucked me in as I spent the night. In another flash I was gone again, on the road back home back to another wind.

I think the wind here today is another good wind. It’s a refreshing, cleaning out the old and sweeping in the new type of wind. It’s a promise of fresh spring weather and revival. After fourteen hours of driving in two days I’m feeling ready.
