With one more week of our school syllabus left, I’m going to confess we do get bored sometimes. Rhythm and repetition are nice and help the day flow (more) smoothly, but 100 lessons from the same book is sure to get dull. We love Ambleside Online combined with the things I substitute in. I see my boys’ thrive with these choices, but once in a while it sure is nice to mix it up with something (old) new.

Enter my garage sale habit (resale, auction, flea market, whatever!). This past weekend we stumbled into some fun new-to-us items to add some freshness to our school work. A few dollars really can go a long way towards fun and learning.
