Missing Eggs.

The weather is getting pretty darn cold, so I assumed that one egg per day in the nesting box was normal. I asked my best friend (former hen owner) who confirmed it. I decided I ought to stop pushing dozens of eggs out the door and settle into the one egg per day production. So, when I went to finish the winter prep in the coop I was quite surprised to see a dozen eggs nestled nicely behind a straw bale. Seems I created a nice little nesting box for the hens when I aimlessly put the bales there to distribute later! Oh my, oh well. Another dozen to share.

    1. Ah yes. I just read a book that took place in a small town during the plague. She searches under the front shrubs for her eggs, calling her hens unruly:)
